New High Pressure Gas Line To Come Online

Since November 2013 Simpson Building Group has worked around the clock to provide the Sydney Opera House with a new HP Gas Service including a new Regulator set.The Project involved many facets and areas of the Opera House – from running in the new line through the heart of the busy Opera Bar and Kitchen to cutting in a 1500mm deep trench through solid concrete for the connection to Jemena’s main gas line.

Co-ordination, adherence to the Natural Gas Pipeline Standards, local community, rain and of course working at the most popular spot in Sydney during summer has ensured round the clock labour was applied to this important project.

The new regulator set will be commissioned on Thursday 23^rd January – allowing Simpson’s to complete the rest of the works with new gas meter installations inside the depths of the Opera House.
