The Pacific Highway upgrade is one of the largest road infrastructure projects in NSW.
The Australian and NSW governments have been jointly upgrading the Pacific Highway to provide four lane divided road from Hexham to Queensland.
Upgrading started in 1996 with 2020 being the target for completion.
The requirement for noise mitigation measures, including noise walls and residence treatments are identified during the design phase.
Simpson Building Group have been selected as a pre-qualified building contractor to undertake acoustic related works on dwellings impacted by the highway upgrade, these works incorporate (but not limited to) the following:
- Supply and installation of new windows
- Supply and installation of new doors
- Supply and installation of new mechanical systems
- Power upgrades
Simpson Building Group are currently contracted on the Oxley Highway to Kempsey and Frederickton to Eungai sections undertaking works on 19 properties.
